Growing in a Creative Climate 

The Center for Creative Solutions, Inc. today announced its sponsorship of ForumCornucopia Creativity Conference on September 22, 2011. This year’s theme is "Growing in a Creative Climate."

"This year, we really want ForumCornucopia to focus on cutting-edge practices that can help people become more competitive in our global economy. Creativity and innovation go hand in hand with economic development," said Paul Bartholomew, President of the Board of Directors of the Center for Creative Solutions, Inc.

The day-long conference will feature international, regional and local experts in creative development. The curriculum is designed for all types of businesses and organizations, as well as individuals wanting to find innovative ways to solve complex problems.

Speakers (including Dr. Roger Firestien)  will teach creativity tools and techniques used at large corporations, leading non-profits, government agencies, and prestigious universities.  IBM, Ford Motor Company, Southwest Airlines, Motorola, S. C. Johnson, Hilton Hotels, Amoco, and UBS Financial Services are among the list Fortune 500 companies using these tools and techniques.  Major non-profits and government agencies that practice these methods include The United States military, American Cancer Society, Social Security Administration, and the Arthritis Foundation.  These methods have been scientifically proven to help people develop new products and better business practices.

 

The day will consist of a:

  • Registration begins at 8:30am
  • Plenary session in the morning
  • A lunch panel discussion of regional innovation practitioners
  • Two concurrent sessions in the afternoon 
  • Program to end at 2:00pm

The program is located at the Northern Indiana Education Foundation Building, 402 Franklin Square, (corner of Franklin and 4th Streets) Michigan City, Indiana.  The registration fee for the day of presentations, breakfast and lunch is $50.
